Story Line:-
A squad of war journalists try to survive in the near future as the US is on the verge of civil war while presenting the facts.
British novelist Alex Garland wrote and directed the 2024 dystopian thriller film Civil War, which starred Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Cailee Spaeny, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Sonoya Mizuno, and Nick Offerman. During a fictional American civil war fought between an authoritarian federal government and several secessionist regional factions, the plot centers on a team of war journalists who are dispatched from New York City to Washington, D.C. to interview the President before rebels seize control of the nation’s capital.
The United States is immersed in a civil war. Secessionist movements threaten an authoritarian federal government headed by a president serving a third term.
The following morning, Lee discovers that Joel has given permission for Jessie Cullen, a young, aspirant photojournalist that Lee met during the attack, to accompany them.
The party makes a halt at a gas station guarded by armed men after leaving the city. When Jessie visits a neighboring car wash, she discovers the men abusing two people who are suspected of stealing. Lee diffuses the situation by taking a picture of the man posing with his victims as one of the guards pursues Jessie. Afterwards, Jessie chastises herself for being overly photo-averse.
Joel halts them for a second so he may quote the president, who says, “Don’t let them kill me.” Joel quits holding up the soldiers after he is satisfied, and Jessie takes pictures of WF soldiers standing with the president’s body.
