Story Line :

When a young man returns to his hometown, he discovers a family secret and the resentful spirit Munjya, who is engaged to be married. The young man now faces a hilariously chaotic and terrifying adventure as he fights to save himself and his love from Munjya’s clutches.
Aditya Sarpotdar is the director of Munjya, a 2024 Indian Hindi-language supernatural comedy horror film produced by Maddock Films’ Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik. In the Maddock Supernatural Universe, it is the fourth movie featuring Sharvari, Abhay Verma, Mona Singh, and Sathyaraj. The movie revolves around the mythology and folklore of India, specifically the legend of Munjya.
The movie will feature Abhay Verma and Sharvari as co-stars. “I play a contemporary woman determined to pursue her dreams above all else, a sentiment many can identify with in today’s world,” Sharvari said, describing her role. Her dating experiences resonate with many women and make the character more relatable.”
Bhatt claims that because Munjya passed away at a young age, people view him as a monster who is simultaneously monstrous and innocent. Munjya often gets people into trouble in order to get its way, and it is often obsessed with marriage. Munjyas are viewed as immature and minor annoyances rather than as malicious individuals. They seem to enjoy tossing stones at people who are standing under trees.

Critics :

Munjya is a horror-comedy film that blends humor and terror by delving into Konkan folklore. When Bittu returns to his village, he meets Munjya, the mischievous spirit. The film is entertaining and strikingly beautiful. All things considered, if you like scary comedies, you should watch it.
