Story —
From the streets of North Kolkata, a young chess prodigy named Surya rises to the esteemed title of Grandmaster. Surya receives strength-giving support from his mother, coach, and grandfather through all of life’s obstacles.
While attending the Kolkata Film Festival, Anurag Kashyap elevates Bengali film “Ghatiya.” The creator of “Dabaru” responsibly demonstrated his point. This film does not have a genre, to start. The story, in my opinion, was influenced by the life of Surya Sekhar Ganguly. However, the story has a ton of cinematic potential; the problems lie in the way it is handled and carried out. It’s ruthlessly destroyed by some terrible writing and equally appallingly bad acting. Whether it’s the numerous pointless subplots, the superfluous characters, or the lack of character development—Patrit Basu’s film is a complete disaster. The laughter in the theaters at every line a character said accurately demonstrated that the movie is a farce. The first part was noticeably superior.
